This winter, more than 200 Washington State Farmers Market Volunteers, Staff, Board Members, and other professionals from across the state will convene for the Annual Washington State Farmers Market Association Conference "Nourishing & Sustaining the Vibrant Soul of Farmers Markets,"  which will feature two full days of continuing education, networking, and celebrating the achievements of our outstanding volunteers.  Highlights of the conference include: 

  • Thirty breakout sessions featuring topics such as Marketing, Vendor and Volunteer Recruitment, Starting a New Market, Vendor Displays, Getting Political, Food Safety, Grant Writing, and much more. 
  • Three general sessions with prominent keynote speakers addressing important topics on farming and farmers markets
  • An Award Reception on Saturday, February 4 where WSFMA volunteers will be honored for their dedication to representing the best interests of their local community and connecting farmers to consumers. 

It is a pleasure to invite you to participate in this annual conference as a sponsor, there will be promotion and recognition opportunity for all levels, you will also receive a booth at the conference so you can promote your company, its products or services.

$5,000 WSFMA Conference Awards Dinner & Reception - Exclusive Opportunity

The Awards Dinner and Reception celebrates the outstanding work of WSFMA volunteers, staff, board members, farmers and farmers markets around the state. Award winners are announced during a special program recognizing the time, effort and creativity the industry’s stars have invested, adding value to their communities and connecting farmers to consumers through fresh, local foods.   This is a highlight of the WSFMA annual conference, attracting more than 200 people from around the state. Sponsorship package includes:

  • Naming rights on Awards Dinner
  • One table for four guests at Awards Dinner (value: $250)
  • Opportunity for representative to make short remarks during awards presentation
  • Opportunity to meet WSFMA volunteers, staff and leadership at pre-dinner reception

This conference sponsorship underwrites the conference notebook and printed material for each conference attendee.  Sponsorship package includes:

  • One table for two guests at conference Awards Dinner (value: $100)

$1,500 Keynote Speaker – Two Sponsorships Available

This sponsorship underwrites the keynote speaker at the general session held during the conference.  More than 200 conference attendees are expected to attend the general session.  Sponsorship package includes:

2012 WSFMA Annual Conference Keynote Speaker: Dru Montri, Director, Michigan Farmers Market Association (MIFMA)

Dru Montri is the director of the Michigan Farmers Market Association.  She has a background in horticulture with a BS from MSU and an MS from Penn State.  In addition to her work with MIFMA, she is pursuing a dual doctoral degree at MSU in Horticulture and Community, Agriculture, Recreation and Resource Studies.  She and her husband own and operate Ten Hens Farm in Bath, Michigan.  Dru believes that the overlapping nature of these roles provides an opportunity to enhance her work in multiple areas.  She has managed MIFMA since its inception and is committed to building an organization that supports and promotes farmers and farmers markets across the state.

This sponsorship underwrites the conference Welcome Reception, welcoming attendees to the conference and providing opportunities for networking with colleagues from around the state. The reception features entertainment by local musicians, refreshments, and light snacks to create a festive atmosphere. Sponsorship package includes:

  • Signage during Welcome Reception recognizing sponsor as event underwriter
  • Booth in exhibit section during the conference where representatives can meet attendees (value: $200)

$750 Farmers Workshops – Eight Sponsorships Available

This sponsorship underwrites individual workshop sessions in the conference Farmers Track.  Presented by industry professionals, farmer workshop sessions offer an in-depth learning opportunity on specific topics affecting farmers and farming practices.   Sponsorship package includes:

  • Signage in room during Farmers Workshops recognizing sponsor as workshop underwriter
